Tour description

During the 17th century, Rome was the capital of world art. Baroque art was exported all over the world. And the main authors of this movement were the contemporaries Gian Lorenzo Bernini and Francesco Borromini. Enjoy on this tour one of the neighborhoods with the greatest presence of the work of these artists: the Quirinale. In a walk of about two hours you can visit some of the most important works of Baroque and Roman art in general. If you are interested in architecture, sculpture, the art world, or if you just want to know a little more about two of the most important figures in art history, this is your tour! What monuments will we see on the tour? - COLINA QUIRINALE, where there are so many works by Bernini and Borromini - ESTASI DI SANTA TERESA (Bernini), in the church of Santa Maria della Vittoria - SAN CARLINO ALLE QUATTRO FONTANE de Borromini * - SANT'ANDREA AL QUIRINALE (Bernini) - PALAZZO BARBERINI, stairs by Bernini and Borromini - FONTANA DEL TRITONE (Bernini) - BASILICA DE SANT'ANDREA DELLE FRATTE (Borromini) - PALAZZO DI PROPAGANDA FIDE with facades by Bernini and Borromini - PIAZZA DI SPAGNA, (final stop of the tour, connected with the metro line A) The monuments will be visited from the outside, with the exception of the churches, where entrance is free.
