Hi, I'm Alex. I was a student in Granada and therefore this tour is a walk through some of my favourite places, some which are well-known and others that I "discovered" during my time here. We will see landmarks, historical places, but also hidden-away gems where locals like myself like to hang out and escape from the city noise and crowds. You will also notice that in very little time we will walk from city surroundings to typical Spanish "barrios" full of life. If you'd like to experience Granada with me, say no more and lets do it!
This is a tour that I would organize for family or friends visiting Granada, so they get the richest and most enjoyable experience possible
There is no city in the World like Granada, and it is common in Spain to hear that "Granada is only missing a beach" to explain how much there is to see, do and enjoy. It is important to understand that a walk around Granada is not a "Spanish" walk, but more a mix of Spanish and Moorish heritage. In the same city we will visit, for example, the Catholic Cathedral and also see the Alhambra palace which is moorish.
During the walking tour, I'll mix important landmarks and tourist must-do locations with personally selected "rincones" (corners) that only us locals know of. I will also recommend amazing places to try tapas, which are small plates of food that are complimentary when you order a drink. Our walk will take us from the city center, up to the Mirador de San Nicolás which is a look-out plaza, where we will take group and individual photographs with possibly the best view in Europe (please note I may be a bit biased!) and then back down again. After, you will truly be able to say that you had a taste of Granada and have a "feel" for the city... which will hopefully make you want to come again!
