Hello, I´m Bruno and official guide of the Canary Islands for more than 25 years. Passionate about our city, here I was born and studied Tourism. I have been a guide for 9 years, with several international travel companies. Guruwalk gives me the opportunity to show you like no other, our streets, squares, areas of cultural and cosmopolitan importance that is Las Palmas G.C. I will not disappoint you and you will be able to understand from another perspective the position of this Atlantic city and it has been playing a tri-continental role for centuries. Do not wait more and let´s join me on Tuesday morning (english tour) I will be waiting for you at the door of the tourism house of the Santa Catalina Park.
With us you can walk and see one of the most important tourist centers in the Canary Islands, such as the area of Playa de las Canteras, Parque Santa Catalina, Mercado Puerto and Castillo la luz. We are official guides, since it is an essential requirement in the Canary Islands to be able to walk quietly and be able to tell you the history of the city, as well as visit works of cultural interest. For this reason, we will meet at the door of the tourism house, in the Santa Catalina Park, where our guide in a light blue shirt will wait for you to depart on foot and walk streets with a lot of international flavor, since the port area is close and it was always the entrance of ships and cruises, that's why you will find people from more than 20 countries in the commercial area. We will march to know the foundation of that area at the end of the XV century and with retrospective photos and explanations, we will enter to visit an old fortress (first military of the Canary Islands) from 1494. Inside the castle of light, is the foundation of Martin Chirino, great sculptor creator of the 20th century. We will enter the neighborhood of the islet to know the origin of Las Canteras beach and its coral bar. We will finish with a typical gastronomic walk in the port market, a work of cultural interest, modernist from the late 19th century. There will be a special price to finish with a wine and a pintxo, of course .... Go ahead.
