About the Tour

Did you know that the Camino de Santiago is a route that has existed for more than a thousand years?

The first pilgrim arrived in Compostela in the 9th century and, since then, millions of walkers, knights, penitents and travelers arrived at this place where the remains of the great Apostle Santiago lie.

Thanks to Veremund @, our medieval pilgrim, who knows the Camino like nobody else, a fun, witty, captivating and interesting being, you will be able to learn about the fables and miracles that occurred on this pilgrimage route throughout the centuries.

Our peculiar path will begin at the crossroads of the Church of San Fiz de Solovio , next to the Mercado de Abastos , very close to the statue of the first pilgrim to arrive in the city of Santiago, King Alfonso II the Chaste. There, Veremundo will tell us what the attire of those medieval pilgrims was like and then he will guide us through the streets of the old town telling miraculous stories and prodigious fables that occurred on the Camino. The hen that sang after being roasted, the fountain that miraculously emerged to quench the thirst of devout walkers, the ancient brotherhoods of the Camino, the Jacobean tradition or the extraordinary construction of emblematic buildings of our city are some of the stories that will surprise you.

In addition, Veremund @ will remember what daily life was like in the lively streets of Compostela in medieval times. It will be a journey back in time, a pilgrimage led by a master in the art of walking.

Don't miss the adventures of Veremundo, a fun pilgrimage to medieval times!
