Center of Venice: St. Mark's
Tour description
VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION: From August 1, 2024, the Venice City Council requires tourist groups to wear a headset during the activity. The guide will provide one at the beginning of the tour. Since this is a free tour and the headset has a high cost, a deposit of €10 is required, which you will give to the guide at the start of the tour and which the guide will return to you at the end when you return the headset. IT IS MANDATORY TO WEAR THE HEADSET AND PAY THE DEPOSIT TO TAKE THE TOUR.
On this tour, we will explore the most important and monumental part of Venice: the Sestiere of San Marco. We will visit the most important theater in Venice, the La Fenice Opera House. We will delve into the city's alleys and arcades to find one of its best-kept treasures: the Contarini del Bovolo Palace, completely inaccessible to tourists. We will pass by the Grand Canal, the city's main artery, very close to Venice's most important bridge, the Rialto Bridge. We will end the tour by visiting the most emblematic place in Venice: St. Mark's Square, where we will find St. Mark's Basilica and the Doge's Palace, and we will learn the most curious details of the history of the Republic of Venice. There will be no shortage of recommendations, both gastronomic, about transportation, or must-see places you cannot miss in Venice.
*IMPORTANT: Groups of more than 6 people are not allowed, EVEN IF THEY COME WITH DIFFERENT RESERVATIONS. The guide may refuse admission to these groups on the tour. For groups of more than 6, we offer private tours at 150, which can be arranged directly with the guide.
