Free walking tours in Saint Petersburg

After visiting Murmansk, I decided to spend a few days in St. Petersburg, and Evgeniya was kind enough to give me a private tour of the city. She explained the history of St. Petersburg and the places we visited so vividly, using visual aids along the way, that it often felt less like a conventional tour and more like being inside a live documentary, standing in the very places where the events had taken place. For three hours, she tirelessly guided me through the historic centre, from the Hermitage and the city’s magnificent cathedrals to the Singer House and many other important landmarks, always adding the stories and historical context that made each place much more meaningful. The following day, thanks to her advice and guidance, I visited the magnificent Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood and the Hermitage Museum on my own, and I appreciated both of them much more because of everything she had explained the day before. Thank you very much, Evgeniya, for making my visit to St. Petersburg so memorable. It was a wonderful introduction to the city, and hopefully our paths will cross again on another tour someday. 🙏

We had an amazing tour with Evgeniya. We learnt so much about the history and the monuments of Saint Petersburg. She told us a lot of anecdotes that we can’t find on internet or in books. She has so much energy and can answer all of your questions. And the break in the cafe is a very good idea ! We recommend 1000%. Thank you again :)

Evgeniya was an amazing guide in St. Petersburg. Even though it was snowing heavily, she still came for the tour just for the two of us. She took us to the famous Leningradsky Pushkin Donuts, a place that has been there since 1958, and introduced us to the famous local donuts and coffee at a very cheap price. She walks very fast even in high heels and still explains everything with great energy. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Truly an amazing lady and a very memorable tour experience! 😊

Evgeniya was an exceptional guide and incredibly professional. Even though there were only two of us on the tour and the weather was very cold, she still went ahead with the walk. I even suggested canceling because of the lower payout, but she insisted on doing the tour anyway. Her dedication, deep knowledge of Saint Petersburg, and engaging storytelling made the experience truly special. She was warm, friendly, and attentive throughout, despite the cold. I highly recommend her walking tour to anyone visiting the city.

Very gd tour for non Russian speakers as most of the tourist places have no English language commentary or written history or literature. Thanks to the tour we got our bearings n small doze of Russian history that helped us throughout our stay to understand the nuances of thx various historical places we visited.
