Hello everyone! I am Selene and I am an official Canary Islands tourist guide. Life took me by chance to this profession and now I cannot imagine without it. I am passionate about history and languages. With me you will get to know the Vegueta neighborhood from a local and authentic point of view, since I have lived here all my life. In addition, we will take a trip back in time from the 15th century to the present day, where we will not only tell the history of the city, but also anecdotes and curiosities. I will also recommend local places to shop, drink coffee or eat. During this tour I will not only be your guide, but also your friend, so you can take the opportunity to ask me anything you need for your vacation on the island.

From my point of view, the city has two old quarters, Vegueta (XV) and Triana (XVI) . In this tour we will lightly approach the Triana neighborhood to focus on Vegueta.
On this tour, I will be the one to take you back in time. We will travel to the 15th century, to learn how the modern history of our city began. We will talk about the aborigines, their beginnings on the islands and the end of their culture.
Nor can we miss the moment when Columbus set foot in the Canary Islands for the first time, before heading to America; or those piratical attacks that kept the population on constant alert. Likewise, we will walk through beautiful and emblematic squares in which I will tell you about its past, thus understanding its present.
We will tell anecdotes and curiosities; I will recommend local places to eat, have coffee or tapas; and I will be able to offer you discounts on excursions to various areas of the island. Of course, I am an official guide, I pay taxes and I have my license.

Plaza del Pilar Nuevo, Colón Museum. 9. Calle de los Reyes (popularly known in the past as, "street of death"), Vegueta limits to the south, old city wall 10. Plaza San Agustín (courthouse) and the bar association 11. Plaza de Santo Domingo (one of the oldest in the city) and the Orden del Cachorro (Canarian traditions) 12. Plaza del Espíritu Santo 13. Cathedral and Plaza Mayor.
