My name is Carlos! I am a passionate and dedicated tour guide with proven experience organizing trips through travel agents, tour operators and a customer service specialist with extensive knowledge and experience in the hospitality industry. I'm very interested in the cultural heritage and history of major cities to understand how urban planning can effectively provide better quality of life for citizens and protect the natural ecosystems within. I enjoy working for small boutique hotels that have implemented sustainability practices as a core business strategy. I love sports and especially eco-tourism activities like diving, zip lining and nature-based activities that involve active observation and interaction with wildlife, animals, plants, birds and marine animals.
Join me for a ‘promenade’ (walk in the park) around this exclusive leafy suburb taking in some locations that are normally not included on regular guided tours of Barcelona.
The meeting point or 'rendezvous' will be outside the Metro and Tramway station of Palau Reial next to the entrance for the Gardens of Pedralbes.
Here’s why:
I hand-picked these locations because they take in art, sport, education, history and architecture, in an area of the city that has long been resided by Barcelona’s elite.
Given the relatively small area covered, you will appreciate multiple architectural styles of buildings, parks and urban areas.
Highlights of the tour will include: the Palace Gardens, and the University Campus. We will pass by the Monastery of Pedralbes and the Güell Pavilions, for which there are entrance fees of 5 euros.
I would really encourage you to visit this beautiful place to relax, not only for its architectural merit, but also for its tranquil setting and serenity. If you would like to visit, I can drop you at the monastery and help book your tickets.

The tour will conclude at the Cervantes Park, near to 'Zona Universitaria' metro station (L3).
There are many fascinating stories to be told about this very little quadrant of Barcelona, come along to rediscover the importance of some illustrate characters for the city, learn more about the biodiversity of its parks, and the strategic role that university faculties have played during recent years to catapulte Barcelona into a top destination for education, innovation and research centres in Europe.
I finnally welcome you to join me on Guruwalk to dive deeper into one of Barcelona's most beautiful historical areas.
At the exit of Palau Reial metro station (L3) I will be carrying 'La Senyera' which is the official flag of the Autonomous Community of Catalonia, with alternating yellow and red stripes.
Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
