Hello. My name is Yash. I'm a resident of Gangtok. I have always had an interest in the history of Sikkim. Being an avid reader, I have consumed books about the history of Sikkim, attended interviews of an oral history projects and pored over transcripts of the British Raj in Sikkim to provide a first-of-its-kind experience in Sikkim, after which you'll never see it the same again.

Tour description
The walk takes you through the quiet, scenic streets of Gangtok, retelling the stories that the buildings on them stood witness to.
The circuitous route begins at Zero Point heading towards the palace, through the Ridge road and curves back from Kazi Road through MG Marg.
A first of its kind heritage tour of Gangtok shedding light on the political history of Sikkim, from the Maharajas to the Democratic movement. Some stories deserve a retelling.
The walk functions on a pay-it-forward model. At the end, if you enjoyed the walk, you may tip your guide to sustain the experience for future customers.

How much does this tour cost?
Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end the amount they consider appropriate (amounts usually range from €15 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
