On this tour we will give a few glimpses of the modernist route, we will discover corners of the ancient path that linked Roman Barcelona with its adjacent towns and we will end at the majestic Cathedral.
We will start at the upper part of Paseo de Gracia and we will walk past some emblematic buildings of the modernist route.
We will pass through the well-known Plaza Cataluña and walk through the commercial street known as Portal del Ángel , making a stop at a shop selling artisanal nougat, the typical Christmas dessert that is eaten on all Spanish tables during Christmas (store open all year round). .
Finally, we will finish in the Cathedral Square where I will explain some curiosities about it and we will see a small piece of the Roman aqueduct.
It is not a specific tour of the modernist route but it does help you situate yourself and understand the transformation of the buildings and streets of the past to what we see today.
I will be right in front of the Starbucks coffee shop on Paseo de Gracia 103. I am wearing a GuruWalk lanyard.
