I am an Biologist-Entomologist who is interested in Apitourism of Stingless bees and its conservation in Guatemala. I love hiking, the Guatemalan Culture, Colonial Architecture and History of Antigua Guatemala.
Do you love chocolate?
Guatemalans have grown and consumed cacao (chocolate) for 3,000 years, and the Maya introduced it to Europeans. Come learn about the history of Mayan production of chocolate, sample chocolates, and compare and contrast local chocolatiers while visiting landmarks and learning Antigua's colonial history.
None of the places we will visit charge an entrance fee, but tipping local artisans is appreciated. Wear sunblock, a hat, and comfortable shoes.

I hope to meet you!! Sign up for a tour!
There is no fee for the tour. I do not accept "commissions" or kickbacks from any of the chocolatiers or shops we will visit. I work for you. You can reward me what you think is fair at the end.
We will meet at the entrance of Cafe Condessa, which faces the central park (Parque Central). Cafe Condessa is on the west side of the park on 5th Avenue. I will be wearing an Adidas Hat, a t-shirt with bees and an Turquoise/Teal Osprey backpack.

Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
