Bohemian Tour: Bellavista, Lastarria, B. Artes & Italia

This tour is dedicated to travelers who want to experience the city in a more relaxed way and want to have a good time with other travelers in a semi private tour with no more than 10 people.

You'll discocover 4 Neighborhoods: Bellavista, Lastarria, Bellas Artes plus a metro ride to Barrio Italia. These are the most lively and colorful areas around downtown Santiago.

We'll talk about history, nightlife, bohemian characters, street art and bars as the plot of the tour plus the best recommendations for restaurants, theater, live music, and other activities.

We will stop at 3 or 4 venues in total within the 4 neighborhoods in order to try (optionally): a beer tasting, a chilean hotdog, ice cream, empanadas, pisco sour and even "terremotos" (chilean drink) depending on what the interests are in each group.

There's options for vegetarians and vegans too and 10.000clp will be enough per person if you do try ALL the tastings aforementioned which are always optional.

These are the stops:

Plaza caupolican (Meeting point)
La Chascona (Pablo Neruda's house)
Calle Constitución (full of recommendations)
Patio Bellavista (tons of bars, souveniers and other services)
Parque Forestal (view to Plaza Italia/ Baquedano)
Calle Villavicencio (hidden gems)
Barrio Lastarria (a classic)
Bellas Artes (muralism, recommendations and metro ride)
Barrio Italia ( final stop and final tasting)

Come to see have a good time at the most pictorial parts of town with an experienced tour guide!

P.S: Please bring comfortable shoes for the walk, water and you own metro card "BIP". If you can't, I can pay the metro ride for you.

The tour lasts 3 hours

My name is Diego Escobar Castro. I’m a former school teacher, a father to a curious 5-year-old boy, and a proud ambassador of my city. I am also the founder of *Better with a Teacher*, a project created for travelers who want to truly understand the history, culture, and unique character of Santiago and Chile. I have cycled more than 6,000 kilometers throughout Chile—across the Atacama Desert, the Carretera Austral, the Elqui Valley, and the Cajón del Maipo—as well as parts of Argentina. I’ve also completed numerous hikes around the country, so I’m always happy to share recommendations with anyone seeking outdoor adventures. I completed my studies in Valparaíso, where I trained as a tour guide. Because of that, I love sharing the local stories, heritage, and hidden gems of that iconic port city to help visitors appreciate it even more. Due to the growing popularity of this tour, I’m no longer able to guide both Spanish- and English-speaking groups simultaneously. For that reason, especially during high season, I am primarily dedicated to the English tours. Please note that *Better with a Teacher* also includes other qualified history teachers—**Fabián, Felipe, and Melissa**—who are passionate experts and wonderful ambassadors of Chile as well. If you choose a tour in Spanish, one of them may be your guide. All the best Diego Escobar Castro.
