I am Sonia, graduate in Art History and Official Tourism Guide. Born in Valencia, it will be a privilege to be able to show you the cultural heritage of my city!
Join this great guided tour where we will visit the main heritage spaces of the historic center of Valencia. Ideal for the beginning of your trip, you will have a general and authentic idea of the old city.
I will explain the origins of Valencia and the different walled enclosures that the city has had. We will admire the spectacular Torres de Serranos and the curious Portal de la Valldigna.
From Plaza del Tossal, we will continue walking along the old and stately Caballeros street , where the beautiful church of San Nicolás is located, until we reach Plaza de la Virgen ,
the Basilica of the Desamparados and the fountain that represents the Turia River, among others... Also, did you know that the Plaza de la Virgen hosts an event declared a World Heritage Site?
We will continue surrounding the cathedral, and we will witness three cultures. The place where the current temple dedicated to the Assumption of Mary stands is the result of the passage of time of various previous cultures and religions, including Roman, Muslim and Jewish. And on the road, we will see it.
Furthermore, the cathedral of Valencia keeps a treasure: The Holy Chalice... Who has not heard of the Holy Grail ?
We will advance to the Church of Santa Catalina with its beautiful baroque bell tower and discover the curious Plaza Redonda .
We will finally arrive at the Plaza del Mercat, where we will enjoy the beautiful building of the Lonja de la Seda . And the Central Market , which is a magnificent example of Valencian modernist architecture.

The meeting point will be at number 1 NAVELLOS street, right in front of the Plaza de la Virgen. I will bring my accreditation as an Official Guide and a YELLOW umbrella. Please be at least 5 minutes before the departure of the tour.
