Hello, my name is Diego and I was born in the beautiful city of Santiago de Guatemala (Antigua Guatemala). I have been working as a freelance guide for twelve years now. I am a guide accredited by the Guatemalan Institute of Tourism INGUAT and my work area is the entire Republic of Guatemala. I currently live in Ciudad Vieja (the first capital Guatemala ever had) and it is only 6 kilometers from Antigua Guatemala so I do tours there all the time. I know a little about everything, volcanology, sacred art, general history of Guatemala, architecture, biodiversity, speleology, etc. I am passionate about what I do and it will be a pleasure to guide you through this museum city declared a Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
