Great walking tour of Osaka. Our guide Calvin was organized and fun. He answered all our questions.

Our guide's knowledge was impressive, he shared fascinating stories and insights that really brought the city to life. The route covered some wonderful sights that we wouldn't have discovered on our own. It was fun, engaging, and incredible value for a free walking tour. We'd absolutely recommend this to anyone visiting, don't miss it!

The tour gave us a sense of the history and the hip life of Osaka. Our tour guide (great guy with an amazing mustache) had been living in Osaka for 10 years so he was able to give us an outsider's view from when he first arrived and insiders perspective.

Our guide was very informative and was more than happy to answer any questions we had about Osaka. He shared all his knowledge and was very energetic throughout the tour. Would definitely have him again if I could.

I would highly recommend our tour guide Jay if you ever have an opportunity to step on this walking tour. Having travelled to many countries and cities globally and an active walking tour participant, I can tell you with immense confidence that the 2-3 hours with Jay would be one of the best investments of your time in Osaka. I learned so much about Osaka from ancient history to its modern development. The tour itself felt both informative and entertaining, which is a challenging balance to achieve sometimes, but Jay delivered brilliantly. The route was thoughtfully curated, but more importantly, Jay was incredibly witty. His multicultural background truly enabled him to connect with a diverse audience, turning his storytelling into something far more meaningful than simple translation - it was relatable and deeply resonant with each person's culture.

Great tour combining the history of Osaka with the experiences of the current residents. Kelvin gave great recommendations throughout on places to shop (including the knife store he uses as he studies to be a chef) and eat. I absolutely recommend taking this tour as an intro to Osaka!

Too much downtime, the tour could’ve been an hour quicker if we didn’t stand around so much doing nothing

De donkere kant van Osaka. De buurt die achter gesteld werd/is door de regering. Waar mensen verblijven onder aan de sociale ladder. De rose buurt, die wel/niet mag bestaan. Er werd ons heel veel verteld. Erg leuke tour en geweldige gids

Um ótimo tour passando pelos principais pontos de Dotombori e Shinsekai, contando a história de cada um dos pontos desses bairros. Matt foi um ótimo guia, possui inglês nativo, já mora em Osaka há bastante tempo e conhece muito da história da cidade. Suas recomendações culinárias foram perfeitas e muito úteis nos dias seguintes em que estivemos em Osaka. Dito isso, algumas questões: a rota utilizada é um pouco diferente da rota apresentada no site, o que pode te confundir um pouco caso você planeje suas próximas atividades a partir do roteiro apresentado aqui no site. Além disso, o prospecto do tour nos levou a pensar que seria um tour gastronômico, com paradas para comer, o que não é a proposta do tour - são feitas apenas indicações, sem que haja tempo para degustar os pratos citados. No entanto, caso você alinhe as suas expectativas com o que o tour realmente oferece, é um ótimo tour.

This walking tour was such a wonderful way to experience Osaka. Jay was very knowledgeable and made every stop interesting with stories, history, and local tips. We loved listening to the little stories at every stop. We walked away with a deeper appreciation for the culture and the people.
