German gave us a nice tour around different areas in Osaka. He explained how Osaka stands out from the general population of Japan with ‘rule breaking’ and having a different culture.

Nice sense of humor, interesting perspective due to being from China but studying at a Japanese university (and fluent in Japanese), friendly. He recommended many places for shopping and eating. Would highly recommend for an overview of this area of Osaka.

Our guide, German, brought Osaka to life for us. The route, information and entertainment value were all on point. We learned about Osakan culture, history, food and heard context on the many buildings and sites on the route. After the tour, we enjoyed stopping at a number of food spots on his Google maps list.

We had a great tour with Rico. He was very personable, told great stories, and had pictures to illustrate the information he provided. I would have liked to learn more about Osaka’s history, but that would have required a much longer tour. This was a great introduction to the city.
