You will need to buy a museum pass to allow you to enter the historical sites. Shohruxs was an excellent guide who invited us all to his wedding in October if we could get back to Khiva. A recent graduate he was able to give us a fun and entertaining walking tour through historical Khiva. From trying on hats to providing excellent information about the history of Khiva, his tour left you wanting more of his company and knowledge. He made sure we were shaded as it was a hot day and evening. Sensational tour, definitely worth doing whilst in Khiva.

Everything was perfect. Shokhrukh is a great guide and locations we visited were very interesting.

We really enjoyed our tour with Nilufar. She knows a lot about the city Xiva and also about it's history. She also recommended us some local food and restaurants. We can definitely recommend this tour! At the beginning she also helps to buy a ticket to visit the city & museums which was also quite convenient.

Really enjoyed the tour - learnt a lot about Khiva and it really helped make sense of the city. Charos is a great guide - knowledgeable and really friendly. We did the 5pm tour which I would recommend at this time of year (August) as it really starts to cool at that time and you can easily find shade.

I recommend this tour if you are in Khiva. Charos was a great guide and also gave us great information. She tailored the tour to the group as we wanted to see the science museum and her communication before the tour was great. I have seen on here that there are people who have complained about payment if you are a single person. I was initially the only one and Charos communicated this to me and did not demand any money because of this. I think it is unfair to go to a tour on your own and expect not to pay the rate of a private tour like some other reviewers have done. Thanks Charos. All the best.

What a wonderful guide!! He was very informative and answered all our questions - he spoke wonderful English and also kept us well entertained with a great sense of humour. Very personable! Charos was a great tour guide who was very engaging and provided us with lots of interesting information throughout the tour. My friend and I gave €10 each at the end of the tour. However, we were then confronted and asked to pay €7 more (which we did) , while also being asked to confirm that we would still leave a 5-star review afterwards. If you're travelling on a budget, I'd avoid this tour, as there seems to be an expectation that you’ll pay > €15 I noticed another review describing a very similar experience.

We really enjoyed our walking tour with Charos! Her historical knowledge is very detailed, and she explains things in a way that is engaging. She kindly conducted the tour even though we were the only two people, so we got a private tour! Not only did she provide interesting historical information, she also gave us insights about living in current Uzbekistan, and explained how Khiva had changed over the years. The tour gave us great bearings, meaning we found navigating Khiva for the rest of our stay easier too. Thank you!

Nilufar is a great guide! She is knowledgeable (the lady has surrely done her homework) and was able to communicate her love for the city without overwhelming us. She easily managed to adapt the tour to the demands of our small party and made the whole 3 hour walk very enjoyable. Thank you!
