Great tour which captures your imagination of NYC and Brooklyn in the 1800s and early 1900s

We had a splendid time with this tour, seeing Brooklyn Bridge and Brooklyn neighborhood. A lot of interesting information and nice mood.

I have done quite a lot of walking tours, and this was a very good one! The guide knew his stuff whether on the the hipster section of the tour or knowledge of the Chassidic history, way of life etc. A very wide knowledge of a mixed area and presented well and kept a wide group of people from different countries / expectations entertained. Good job

John was not only incredibly informative but also went above and beyond by taking our photos. He answered all of our questions thoroughly and was very understanding about the circumstances of the tour. He made sure we stayed in the shade whenever possible, which we really appreciated. We absolutely recommend this guide!

We didn't know what to expect and Jon knocked it out of the park. The rain did not keep Jon or the group down, we learned interesting facts, saw amazing sights and have great pictures for our collection. Brooklyn Bridge and Brooklyn Heights had so much to enjoy. Jon was helpful in everyones return to Manhattan. This was my 2nd Guru walk and will continue to seek out more along my travels.

Awesome walking tour!!! Third time and it was still so interesting!!!

Jon has overwhelming knowledge about architecture and history of the city and their buildings. He lead us perfectly through Brooklyn. I was with a wheelchair and he perfectly managed the route to be accessible.

Mike was very knowledgeable and had fun stories. It was an awesome tour with places I wouldn‘t have otherwise seen.
