I am a native of New Orleans. I have been leading tours in New Orleans for over a decade. I have a Master's degree in History and I am a published historian.
On the New Orleans French Quarter Ghost tour we will explore the dark side of the neighborhood's history. Murder, mayhem, and spiritual encounters are no stranger to the French Quarter. Being the city’s oldest neighborhood, founded in 1718, many people have come, gone, and met their end here and some say their ghosts still haunt the narrow streets of the French Quarter. For many years, burial of the dead would sometimes happen in the courtyards and common areas of the early colony. Much of this has combined to make the French Quarter a hotbed of paranormal experiences. on this tour we will go to these various sites and you will earn these stories and judge for yourself.
This tour will cover ghost legends, folklore, and infamous murders.
I will be standing next to Pirate's Alley Cafe. I will be carrying a cane or an umbrella.
Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
