A journey through the geography of Santiago
Tour description
This tour consists of climbing to the top of San Cristóbal Hill, the largest urban park in Latin America, and along the way, being able to discuss the various places in Santiago from a geographical perspective, namely:
- We will review maps of the city
- We will talk about the pre-Columbian origins of Santiago
- We will observe various architectural landmarks from above.
- We will discuss both Santiago and Chilean history.
- I will teach you to identify and understand the origin of our majestic Andes mountain range, as well as its importance.
- We will talk about different characters who shaped our city
On this tour we will visit:
- Baquedano Square
- Bustamante Park Entrance
- Bellavista neighborhood
- San Cristobal Hill
- Zorro Vidal Trail
- House of Spiders
- Former Cumbre casino
- Mexico City Square
- Summit and Sanctuary
Optionally you can decide to use the Cable Car or the Funicular to descend the hill ( Both are closed on Mondays for maintenance )
Cable car value: approximately 3 dollars
Funicular Value: approximately 2.5 dollars
