Following in the footsteps of Don Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra through El Toboso
Tour description
On this guided tour, we will follow in the footsteps of the author of the famous work, "The Ingenious Gentleman Don Quixote of La Mancha," exploring the life of Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra, both the stories told and those left untold. We will also visit and learn about the monuments, culture, and traditions of the town that undoubtedly witnessed him walking and dreaming through its streets. Our itinerary includes the Church of San Antonio Abad (mentioned in the author's renowned work), the Convent of the Trinitarians (the religious order to whom Cervantes owed his release from captivity in Algiers), the northern and western gates of the old city wall (through which he had to enter and exit due to his role as a tax collector supplying the Spanish Armada or as an agent of Philip II), and the Tercia building (where the proceeds from tithes and sales taxes were stored). In short, we will discover many traces and clues that time has not yet erased, all traces of this world-famous writer.
