I love nature, and that's why I care for it and teach others how to care for it. I enjoy trekking in the forest and mountains, just as I enjoy leisurely cycling. I want to continue meeting people from other countries to show them our history, culture, and the natural beauty of Ushuaia.

Tour description

The tour is divided into three parts:

  • The first route, a 30-35 minute walk from the meeting point, crosses part of the Ushuaia forest and offers a glimpse into the city's history. Until 1949, the prisoners' train passed through this area, cutting and transporting firewood to supply the city and the prison. Along the way, you'll appreciate the surrounding natural beauty, with its abundant vegetation: lenga trees, willows, and various other species of trees, shrubs, and wildflowers. You might see or hear some bird species, and occasionally foxes. It's a wonderfully peaceful place for a walk, with clean, fresh air and no disturbing noises. You can still see some of the old railway sleepers!
  • The second part of the journey lasts 30 minutes and leads to the "Nahiara" waterfall, a cascade approximately 6 meters high, located in the middle of the forest at the foot of Cerro Bridges. Points of interest along the way include Mount Susana, the Beagle Channel, the airport, the go-kart track, and Cerro Bridges itself.
  • The third part of the tour lasts 30 minutes and goes towards the meeting point but returning through quiet neighborhoods with houses of different shapes and construction, seeing other points of interest: Port of Ushuaia, Mount Olivia, Mount Five Brothers.

I recommend bringing warm clothing and waterproof footwear, as there may be puddles of water and mud. The tour has its charm in every season, making it a very photogenic spot!
