Tour description
At the agreed time, we will begin the free tour of mysteries and legends of La Coruña in the very heart of the city. Epidemics, maritime adventures, tragic shipwrecks, and even tales of serial killers will accompany us on this intrigue-filled journey. Are you ready to discover its most surprising stories?
The starting point will be María Pita Square, where, next to the monument dedicated to this heroine, we will explore the city's deep connection with the sea. Next, we will head to the Castle of San Antón, now converted into an Archaeological Museum, whose walls have witnessed numerous historical episodes, from its role as a defensive fortress to its use as a prison.
Our route will continue to the Military and Royal Hospital, a place marked by intense human episodes, from the fight against epidemics to ancient healing methods.
We will continue the tour through the San Carlos garden, where Sir John Moore rests, the protagonist of the Battle of Elviña, whose story we will learn about in detail. Finally, we will approach the Convent of Santo Domingo and Azcárraga Square, scenes of events that left a mark on the city.
