Katia was so friendly and bubbly, showcasing the local cuisine, growers and producers. If you love food, then this is the tour for you. Absolutely loved this tour.

Kristina was very knowledgeable and humorous, and we had great fun.

Ivana is a really energetic person which likes to make jokes and make the tour interesting. She was really funny and forth-going. She likes to make everybody included on the tour and always makes sure everyone is listening and comfortable. Also shares some amazing insights about places where we could hang out after the tour! I really recommend going with her if you want to have a fun, energetic and experience tour-guide!

My wife Dinara and I were delighted with this walking tour led by Marina. Although the weather didn’t help (it rained on and off during almost the entire tour), Marina showed great professionalism, keeping everyone engaged and making sure people interacted with each other. As she says herself, she doesn’t want the tour to be a monologue, but an interactive and enjoyable experience, and she definitely succeeds. The time really flies by during the tour. As she had already seen us on the other tour we took with her the day before, Marina kept answering all our questions, whether they were about history, current events, or topics related (or even unrelated) to the tour. During this tour, we especially enjoyed learning about the history of Zagreb’s Upper Town, the 300-meter underground tunnel, and all the information Marina shared while we were walking through it, as well as the funicular. We also had the chance to meet a lamplighter who still lights the street lamps by hand, keeping this old tradition of public lighting alive. We visited the beautiful St. Mark’s Square and the impressive Zagreb Cathedral, and also learned how the cathedral was affected by the 2020 earthquake. We also learned more about the connection between Mother Teresa and Zagreb, as well as an interesting and touching story from Marina’s family, which helped us better understand life in Yugoslavia and the reality of those times, among many other fascinating things. We would also like to thank Marina for her culinary recommendations: cafés, restaurants, and more. Those we had time to visit were excellent. One more important recommendation: Marina also leads another tour called "Zagreb Green Horseshoe – Lower Town", which we highly recommend. If you want to get a complete perspective of Zagreb, we encourage you to join both of her tours… and we are so glad we did! :)

We were especially impressed by her knowledge and her ability to answer every question, whether it was about history, current events, or topics related (or even unrelated) to the tour. It is clear that she genuinely enjoys what she does, and she conducts the tour with outstanding professionalism. My wife and I have joined many walking tours in different cities across Europe, and honestly, Marina is among the very best guides we have had. During the tour, we especially enjoyed learning about the history of Zagreb's Lower Town, fascinating curiosities about Nikola Tesla, the connection between the Esplanade Hotel and the Orient Express, and the meteorological column, which has been displaying temperature and air pressure since XIX century, and much much more. We were also lucky enough to see the Cravat Regiment (30 Years' War) on horseback. It was amazing to see these soldiers in their historical uniforms and learn from Marina about the origin of the modern necktie. One more important recommendation: Marina also leads another tour called "Zagreb Beyond the Guidebooks", which we highly recommend. If you want to get a complete perspective of Zagreb, we encourage you to join both of her tours... and we are so glad we did!!! :)

This was an extremely informative tour giving us an in-depth history of Zagreb. Slaven was well prepared and very professional. He was also friendly and adaptable, giving us time to ask any questions. We particularly enjoyed seeing the old/new Zagreb,noticing the differences, and hearing Slaven explain the history of the two. We also appreciated the restaurant/bakery recommendations!

Luka was fantastic and absolutely made this tour! His information, presentation of it but most of all his sense of humour made this one of the best tours we've done to date. He came armed with recommendations of things to do and see in Zagreb, and was happy to offer suggestions for Croatia as whole as well. If you get Luka, you'll be onto a winner for sure.
