Free Walking Tours In Athens in the afternoon

Excellent tour and tour guide Scenge. We discovered many places in Athens, which we would miss, if it was not that tour. Some places we saw before, but couldn’t understand their significance. It’s a great tour overall. We learned a lot, but it was entertaining as well. Highly recommended.

walter was a great guide! he has a lot of knowledge, so the tour was very informative, but he kept it fun! we hit all the highlights and i recommend it for when you just arrived in the city and want to get a first introduction to then decide where to go. also good recommendations and tips :)

I loved it. The guide, Anna, a Hungarian girl, was fantastic. I definitely recommend it.

This walking tour starting in an easy place to find, the tour guide gave us 5 mins to grab water as he waited for the last people, and then it started pretty much on time. The walk was good, the information was great- but perhaps the history does get a bit confusing. The only problem was that the garden portion of the walk was omitted, because the garden gates were closed "for extreme wind". There was nothing any of us could have done about that. I would choose this tour again!

Really interesting tour giving a great introduction to the history of Athens. Stavros was one of the best guides I've had. Witty and with a wealth of information.

We were lucky to score Walter as our guide of Athens ! An experienced archeologist himself & of Greek heritage Walter ensured we visited all of the main sites of Athens during our 3 hour walk. He provided information in an engaging & entertaining way and the 3 hours flew by. At the end of the tour he also provided great local eating options & stayed back to answer questions we had. This was a great tour. Dimitri was interesting, informative, fun, and very accommodating of our specific needs. There was more food than we could eat - but he packaged it for us to take back to the hotel.

Brilliant tour- stavros was informative, enthusiastic, and friendly. He made the tour super interesting, and the time flew by! It was about the history of Athens and we discovered so many previously unknown fun facts.

The tour lasted 3 hours but I could have easily kept going for another 3 hours! So many locations, excellent guide, interesting info... the only thing was that the group was quite large (30 people) and therefore a bit slow but the guide managed that super well.

Stavros is knowledgeable, witty and charismatic. I feel like he has several versions of this tour and he probably could have kept the group engaged for the 24 hour tour he joked about (because Athens has a long history!). Certainly there’s no need to stop or wait for questions Stavros, just keep going - your ever so slightly dramatic way of presenting history’s facts and figures in mini tales was one of the best Guru Walks I have had the pleasure of joining.

I was lucky enough to have Stavros as a guide. He’s humorous and knows a lot about the city. It was really interesting and I’d totally recommend it
