Free Walking Tours In Athens in the afternoon

Well half the walkers left I think that because it didn’t start till 6:15 and so finished at 8:45

The tour was amazing. Stavros brought really memorable facts from the city while adding his own point of view as a citizen of Athens on many local topics, that made it more authentic and helped me to better understand the city and it's history. 10/10 would recommend.

Very complete tour, it’s was almost 3 hours but not in a bad way, we did a lot of pauses, went to a lot of attractions, and also had a break. The guide was very thorough with information, we did a lot of random questions and most of them he knew to answer to some extend. Please keep in mind that, even is a free waking tour, the guide is spending 3 hours of its day, probably in the summer, to share his/her knowledge, so a contribution is expected.

I only booked this specific tour because a friend of mine had gone on it, and had a great time with Stavros. I booked this tour not knowing who my guide would be, but hopeful I'd get the same experience they did. Sure enough Stavros was my guide and lived up to the hype. Would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to learn about more than the Agora and Parthenon. Stavros is a great guide.

I don't recommend this tour as the one to discover Athens in case you are expecting comments about mythology. A better name of the tour would be "you_guide's personal insight". Recommended if you want to have another perspective from the typical city tour. Accordingly,the places should be changed to the guide's taste.
