Free Walking Tour for families in Cape Town - Suitable for children!

Michael gave us a great tour of the V&A Waterfront. Very informative, helped us unlock the place. Would highly recommend.

Unfortunately the tour was cancelled (only me booked), but I went ahead and walked round the waterfront myself, so it turned out fine.

We appreciated the effort that went into the tour, but unfortunately, it didn’t quite resonate with us. The guide seemed to miss the opportunity to read the group and make a genuine connection, which made it harder for us to stay engaged. We would have loved a more balanced experience—something that combined history with practical insights about the area, like where to eat or what to explore next. After all, as visitors, we’re excited to support the local economy. In the end, we realized this particular tour just wasn’t the right fit for us.

Last minute tour for me not an area I thought of as interesting but Michael pointed out some interesting history and facts. I look forward to booking other guru tours on my next Capetown trip.

Even though we ended up being the only two people on the tour, Michael still gave us an informative, very friendly tour that showed us lots of things around the area that we would have just walked past. Well worth doing the tour

Look, I could easily walk around myself, but there is little enjoyment in that. I was never interested in history but when you use guides as excellent as Michael to accommodate your walk, you not only see with your eyes, you hear with your ears and you learn about the history, culture, dos and donts.
