Mel was very knowledgeable about the history of the area and how the city came to be. I learned a lot! It is a long walk, so it was good that we had comfortable shoes. The only part that wasn’t what we expected was the end of the walk. The tour ends in a different area of town than where it started, so we had a very long walk back to the car. We could have called an Uber or Lyft, but chose not to. Still, I wish the tour would start and end closer together.

If you're visiting Denver, this tour is a must! Mel is incredibly knowledgeable about the city's architecture and history, as well as Colorado more broadly. I'm the kind of person who asks a lot of questions, and she almost always had an answer. On the rare occasion that she didn't, she took the time to look it up right away. Since I was the only person booked on the tour that day, the experience felt more like a conversation with a friend than a traditional guided tour. Mel is warm, open-minded, and genuinely engaging, which made the tour both informative and enjoyable. I would especially recommend this tour to anyone looking to go beyond the usual tourist attractions! 🌸

Mel gave a great tour through Capitol Hill, explaining the history and architecture in great detail, while also sharing interesting stories about the sites. She is extremely knowledgeable and is an engaging tour guide. I strongly recommend this tour!

Melissa was very professional; she conducted the tour with great dedication and provided important information throughout the entire route, without missing a single detail and without rushing—even though I was the only participant. I greatly appreciated her patience in explaining everything, especially since my English isn't the best; she did everything possible to convey the information in a way that I could understand.
