Free walking tours in Dushanbe

It was wonderful experience. Fazliddin couldn't attend so he proactively arranged an alternative guide a day before. I appreciated this because he could've just cancelled. The actual tour guide, Gulshanbonu was very friendly, warm and welcoming. She was upfront about being a new English learner so I appreciated her making the effort to accommodate me. I was the only one on this tour so this also allowed for flexibility and modify things as we progressed through the your. It was a great investment of 3-4 hours. I recommend both Fazliddin and Gulshanbonu to other travelers!

A great tour with a well educated professional tour guide who speaks very good english

Mahmadjon is an excellent tour guide! First off, his English is fantastic and he keeps up to date on current events so our conversations aren't just limited to the tour's subject material. Second, he is an excellent driver and his vehicles are very clean. Lastly, please also inquire with him about his other tours to Iskanderkul and Romit Valley! They are not all listed on Guruwalk and we went to Romit Valley. It's a day trip into a river valley known for it's delicious trout. We did some light hiking and then had a late lunch of grilled trout. I strongly recommend this tour if you don't have the time to go to into the Pamirs.

Dedicated, informative, and diligent, he was also an extremely safe driver who went above and beyond—even going out of his way to say hello when we were on another tour. He books up quickly, so be prepared to reserve in advance. The tour was amazing and not to be missed.

The guru cancelled the tour but did inform me one day prior to this, apparently he stays in another city (not in Dushanbe) and couldn’t come due to snowfall.

We had a great hissor fort tour with Mahmadjon...the ride was comfortable, he spoke fluent english and was the best story teller...we had such lovely interactions with him.on the tour...would surely recommend this tour if you come across this listing...he is always willing to help even beyond this tour.

Ardasher recitation of poetry and knowledge of 4 languages was a treat. What brilliant knowledge he has of his homeland. The tout he tailored hit all the main attraction. The wall was beautiful, beautiful gardens, fountains, cafes, main squares and historical sights. I had a great time and I also learned a lot. Tajikistan is truly a beautiful people with vast education in an ancient part of the world where civilization started. I learned a lot from my guide.

Highly recommend. I so enjoyed my tour with Mahmadjon. He is genuine, friendly, and accommodating. I also went on a second full-day tour to Iskanderkul with him. He went out of his way to ensure we had a memorable experience, making extra stops along the way and encouraging us to eat local food and meet the villagers.

Ardasher is a very good guide. The route is interesting and it includes a lot of beutiful buildings and places. You can take the route even in a hot day, because most of it is under the shadow of trees.

Die Tour mit Mahmadjon war ein voller Erfolg. Alles war bestens organisiert, da wir nu zwei Gäste waren, hat er uns sogar am Hotel abgeholt. Schon die Kommunikation im Vorfeld war sehr angenehm und dieser Eindruck blieb auch so auf der ganzen Tour. Wir haben viel gesehen, auch viele Informationen über Land und Leute bekommen und uns dann sofort entschlossen, weitere Touren, z.B. zum iskanderkul mit Mahmadjon zu unternehmen. great trip from dushanbe for a couple hours!

Mahmadjon is an awesome guide + driver. He is fluent in English hence, easy to communicate with for non-local travellers and/or tourists. He has a profound knowledge about the history of Tajikistan, and able to provide information and details a traveller need to know about the points of interests. I would definitely recommend him to someone who plans to visit this Central Asian country.

Interesting tour to the Hisor Fortress

Very interesting tour through Tajikistans hisotry and Tahisktian today through a 2 1/2 hour walk through Dushanbe. Ardahser knows what he is doing and gave lots of more ideas what to explore in the city.

Ardasher was great and very kind human. He has excellent knowledge about Dushanbe and Tajikistan and his English is perfect. He love his country- Tajikistan and proud of having like this beautiful country. Ardasher organised city tour for me that I did not feel how the time is finished. It was fantastic. I highly recommend city walking tour of dear brother Ardasher to everyone who interested to city walking tour. Also Ardasher can organise other cheap and budget tours to Iskandarkul Lake and other parts of Tajikistan. I also enjoyed one day tour from Dushanbe to Iskandarkul to Dushanbe. Thanks dear brother. We very much enjoyed the tour and would recommend it. We liked the energy of the guide and learned a lot about the historical side of Dushanbe. The tour wasn't too long, which was good given the heat.

I’ve done a lot of tours with GuruWalk already, but this one has to be the best so far! Mahmadjon was all I could have asked for, really kind, a lot of knowledge about Hissor, but also about Tajikistan and every other question I had, and he also spoke the best English I’ve encountered in Tajikistan so far! Ardasher was very enthusiastic & knowledgeable on the town of Dushanbe. I was on the tour on my own and felt that it was rushed but being in a group situation, I think this is where Ardasher would thrive.
