I'm a 6th generation son born in the Bokaap. Our community are decendants of slaves and political exiles from the far east as a registered guide in Cape town I offer walking tours in the citybowl and bokaap sharing our communities history and culture with the world I'd love to show you around our neighborhood. I have a strong connection to the broader community. I'm a director of the bokaap tourism association and a director of Bokaap helpers garden. which is a NPO in the city focusing on community gardening. Have an intimate knowledge of Robben Island as a lived there for over 10 years too.
Muhammad was very communicative from the start. He gave us a good parking recommendation as we drone into Bo-Kaap. He greeted us promptly, kindly and we instantly felt his warmth. Muhammad is a very knowledgeable resident of Bo-Kaap, his popularity and spirit is evident as we walked around the neighbourhood. We were welcomed into a mosque which was a special moment. We learned so much about the history of the community and how the area has and is evolving. The tour really felt personal as we were invited into homes of the locals residents and heard their stories. Muhammad is so friendly, respectful, engaging and interesting. Alles war perfekt mit Elias. Die Verkostung von dem "Donaut" war sehr überraschend und mega lecker. Leider am Montag die Tour gebucht, da waren alle Geschäfte zu. Ich wäre gerne in einer der Gewürzläden gegangen.
