Our guide, Marianne, was superb. She has a wonderful personality, full of energy and stories to tell about Cape Town, the neighbourhood and the whole South Africa. The visit with her was unique and we learnt a lot, discover Bo-caso, the culture, traditions and recent time. She doesn’t hesitate to take questions, to give hints, and at the end to provide a priceless “handbook” with many insightful must! We highly recommend!

What a TOUR! Amazing, brilliant. We were able to learn a lot of South Africa’s history through Marianne’s knowledge. If you are in Cape Town I strong recommend you to do this guided tour with Marianne.

Marianne llegó 15 minutos antes del comienzo del tour. Durante el tour nos ofreció apuntes históricos del país, de la ciudad y del barrio de Bo Kaap, así como nos enseñó los mejores puntos para sacar grandes fotos. Además nos habló sobre la comida e incluso nos compró dos koe Sister (pasteles típicos de desayuno). Al finalizar el tour, nos acompañó en parte de nuestro camino a pie hacia el hotel y nos dio consejos de que hacer el resto de la tarde. Además también nos dió apuntes en papel con recomendaciones sobre qué hacer en ciudad del cabo, excursiones, posibles rutas o sitios para comer. Fue muy agradable y cariñosa y nos ofreció su móvil por si necesitabamos algo el resto de nuestra estancia aquí. Muy recomendable!

Throughout the tour, she shared fascinating historical insights about South Africa, Cape Town, and the Bo-Kaap neighborhood, while also pointing out the best spots to capture stunning photos. She introduced us to local food traditions and even treated us to two delicious koe’sisters, a typical breakfast pastry. At the end of the tour, Marianne kindly walked part of the way back to our hotel with us, offering helpful suggestions on how to spend the rest of our afternoon. She also provided printed notes full of recommendations on what to do in Cape Town, excursions to consider, possible routes, and great places to eat. Her warmth and care made us feel truly looked after, and she even shared her phone number in case we needed assistance during our stay.
