Our experience was very good. Lucky for us, we were only with two because of the low season. Huy tells a lot about the Vietnam's history and especially about Hue. Interesting. We enjoyed the ride, stops and Huy. A good experience for a half day in Hue.

We learned a lot from Huy about the history of the city, the food, and Vietnam. All the food was really tasty as well. We did the palace tour earlier in the day as well, and we learned a lot there and felt like it connected the dots on what we learned after doing the food tour in the evening. Linh was fantastic. I already expected good quality and he exceeded that. He came prepared with a small speaker and mic, had lots of information to share, broke up the tour in small chunks with time for us to explore and take pictures, and most importantly, he felt the atmosphere of the group, adjusted yhe tour accordingly, and bonded with them. All five of us were at different levels of what we wanted from the tour and he was able to connect on a common ground in terms of energy level, humour level, information level, and great social skills to make room for everyone. We even talked about modern Vietnamese politics and swapped personal stories which made it more like hanging out with a friend. Would absolutely recommend. One of my friends said, "Linh might be in the top 3 guys of Vietnam" and we're still talking about him now while reflecting on our trip. You're awesome, Linh! Keep doing your thing. Very friendly guide with fantastic English, really delicious food, and a great route. We visited places and tried dishes which are very popular among locals and outside of the tourist areas. It was a really great way of seeing the 'local' Hue - and getting a very full and satisfied belly!

The best tour if you truly want to understand Hue Imperial City! I’ve joined many city tours and historical tours in Vietnam, but this was honestly one of the most impressive and meaningful history tours I’ve ever experienced. What made this tour truly special was the guide himself — a local from Hue with excellent and very easy-to-understand English. He explained everything naturally and passionately, with deep knowledge about the Nguyen Dynasty, royal culture, and the hidden stories inside the Imperial City. It never felt like a dry history lecture or memorized script like many other tours. The biggest difference is that this guide takes you through the Imperial City in a much more complete and immersive way. He carefully explains each area, each emperor, court rituals, royal life, architecture, and even the hidden details that most visitors completely miss. Normally, many big travel companies or even some official guides inside the heritage site only bring tourists to a few symbolic spots for quick explanations and photos before finishing the tour. But this experience was completely different — you genuinely feel transported into the world of Vietnam’s last dynasty. Some highlights that deeply impressed me: ✨ Thai Hoa Palace — hearing stories about royal ceremonies and imperial power beneath the golden dragons was unforgettable. ✨ The Forbidden Purple City — it truly felt like stepping into a hidden royal world. ✨ The To Mieu Temples and Nine Dynastic Urns — full of fascinating historical meaning that most tourists would never fully understand without a knowledgeable guide. ✨ Kien Trung Palace — an incredible blend of Asian and European architecture with emotional stories from the final days of the dynasty. ✨ The Royal Theater — learning about Hue royal music made the entire experience feel alive. One of the most unique experiences I had in Hue! If you are visiting Hue, I honestly highly recommend joining this tour — especially if you want to see the “real” Hue beyond the typical tourist attractions. Most normal package tours from big travel companies will usually only take you to the common famous spots like the Imperial City or a few temples. But this motorbike tour brought me to hidden places and local experiences that I would never discover by myself. Riding through Hue on the back of a motorbike with local guides was already an amazing experience. The guides were friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about sharing not only the history of Hue but also the local lifestyle, traditions, and culture. It felt much more authentic and personal compared to ordinary tours. Some highlights for me were: ✨ The mysterious abandoned water park — such a surreal and unforgettable place. ✨ Tu Hieu Pagoda — peaceful, spiritual, and full of stories. ✨ Incense Village — colorful, beautiful, and very interactive. ✨ Vong Canh Hill — the view was stunning and relaxing. ✨ Learning about Hue’s war history at the museum and bunker sites. I also loved that the tour was small group style, so everything felt more relaxed and less rushed. My biggest advice for anyone coming to Hue: 👉 Don’t only book the standard tourist tours. 👉 Join this local motorbike experience if you really want to understand Hue deeply. Excellent tour! Huy was very nice, informative, and easy to chat with like a new friend. Great amount of walking and eating around. Really fabulous food and it was great to get a real taste of the local spots and authentic food! Great variety and he was careful to find out about diets before visiting places. Better than other food tours where you always have the basics- this dives into a food culture that most tourists won't see. Highly recommend this tour - I'm a true foodie- and this was top notch! Giving 10 stars if I could!

This was one of my favorite tours of all times (and I have done many already!). I was alone on the tour finally but it went on regardless and I had the best time with Huy! If it’s your first time in Hue there is no better tour like this to get to know the city even a bit remote areas that otherwise would be hard to reach. You get to experience the city from a local’s perspective but also see the main highlights. I can’t recommend it enough!!!

Super lovely tour!! Vy speaks great English has a charming personality and very very knowledgeable about the city! She not only speaks about the Imperial city but also about Vietnamese culture and people. The tour was well paced and not overwhelming for a hot day. I highly recommend for everyone!!

Our guide Davie, communicated very clearly with us via Whatsapp on how to find him. Keep in mind these are students and Davie was studying language so it was great practice! He was kind, enthusiastic and full of knowledge about the Imperial city. He shared stories and tidbits of information that we would not have found out on our own. It was sweltering hot even though we started at 9am but we had a lovely time with our guide. Keep in mind these are students and they ask that you cover their entry for the tour (which is half price). Thanks for a great time!

Thanh was extremely knowledgeable and relayed historical and cultural information in perfect English. She also had a wonderful sense of humour. I would absolutely recommend this walking tour as the best way to see and learn about the citadel and forbidden city.
