I enjoyed getting a different and modern historical perspective from a native Portuguese person. Claudia was entertaining and made us question many things we have all taken for granted as the truth. The only issue I had was she did not take us to the Belem Tower as I saw the other guides do and I was disappointed tbh. Otherwise it was a very good tour. Thank you.

Katerina was a great guide working on April 25, 2025 a national holiday guiding us in the Belem area. We learned a lot about the age of discovery and she made it fun! She was personable, helpful and professional! It was lovely to skip the long line for the belem egg custard tart and to see how they make it in the back room and then of course to buy one or two or three- delicious. Loved the crust and not too sweet. 700 year old secret recipe that only 7 people know! Monastery is also gorgeous along with the age of discoveries monument and tower of Belem. Hearing the history made it so much more interesting!

We enjoyed this tour. Our guide was knowledgeable and informative. We managed to see a lot and understand the Portuguese history. Some of us didn't like the heat though🤭

Our tour guide name is Katerina. She was very good very experienced. I got a lot of information about the place visit the history telling story was very interesting.

Maybe it was because of the route. The walk was a bit superficial and not interactive

Cláudia was highly recommended. She’s a historian, took us to the olden times of Vasco de Gama to the present including the “Selfie President”. She has a good sense of humour & a foodie. Took us to wow places!

Katarina did an excellent job on The Age of Discovery tour. She was enthusiastic, full of good information that was presented in a very informative manner. She was warm and friendly, and I highly recommend her. If I were going to be in Lisbon longer, I would take another tour led by her.

Amazing and very well conducted tour and I must say our tour guide Louis was full of information, lively, and energetic. He went into the details of history of each and every monument while keeping the environment so light that we never felt like fatigue during the entire tour. The guide was very patient giving us sufficient time at each attraction. He even gave us some great restaurant recommendations at the end of the tour. Also Louis was an awesome dancer. We really enjoyed his company.

If you are looking to do a bit of learning about Portugal and its history while you are in Lisboa take this free walking tour around the west city district of Belem - you won’t be disappointed! Cecilia was a knowledgeable, entertaining and kind guide, who patiently listened to and answered all my enthusiastic questions and took account of the group , making everyone feel seen and acknowledged. The tour itself was well paced and even the pouring rain (it is April after all…) didn’t dampen our spirits as Cecilia expertly led us through the main sights of Belem, explaining the significance of each and spanning the history of Portugal from the 1300s to the present day. A combination of wet and windy weather conditions and having to wait for latecomers meant that we did not visit the tower of Belem - this was my only disappointment of the tour, but I was able to walk along to admire it armed with the information from Cecilia. If you’re thinking about booking - do it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I am amazed how much information Claudia could tell us during the tour in a way that I still remember it. Amazing 🤩. Thanks for all your efforts, jokes, interesting facts and nice talks. Hope to see you again! Even though we didn't have the best weather to explore the surroundings, the time I spent during the tour was worth it. Just a kind reminder, at the end of the tour, please remind the tourists about pickpockets in the nearby areas so they don't lose any belongings.

Me and my husband enjoyed the Belem tour with Samuel very much, even though it was interrupted by heavy rain, but continued after it eased a bit. A lot of history information but explained with engagement and modern context. Nice walking too

Luis reveals many of interesting details beyond the obvious. Three hours fly by with his energy. His unique perspective was also appreciated.

Tour cut short due to bad weather but Claudia was great - informative, funny, friendly. Very good insight into the history of Portugal which would have been even better if we had been able to visit the sites
