Free Walking Tours through Lisboa's Belem

Cláudia was a gem for the Age of Discoveries tour in Lisbon. Her stories were great throughout & very interesting. She kept our small group entertained & engaged the entire time. Very impressed & one of the best free walking tours I have taken among my journeys to Europe. Thanks again Cláudia!

A really fun and interesting tour. Miriam was an amazing guide who brought everything in Belem to life and shared so much information. The tour was over 2 and a half hours long but flew by in what seemed like moments. Highly recommended and ask for Miriam.

Tiago was such a brilliant guide. He had so much knowledge and made the walking tour really fun and interesting. I saw and learnt lots. I feel like I know Lisbon really well now. The tour also gave me very good bearings for my way around Belem after the tour ended. It's definitely the best walking tour I've been on.

Belem involves quite a lot of walking but our guide introduced us to interesting historical monuments. A lively presenter.

Kate was wonderful in explaining the history of Portugal. We learned quite a bit during this tour.

The tour was cancelled because there wasn't enough people booked. The Guru informed me with enough notice so I was not inconvenienced.

Pedro is an amazing orator, I enjoyed every minute of the tour and the storytelling on the history of Belem, the monastery, the various landmarks and museums, the people and Portugal. It was genuinely an amazing use of 3 hours of my life, and I highly recommend this tour!

Cecília did a very nice job. We have done many Guru walks around the world. Cecilia’s approach was great. She had lots of energy, was very pleasant and provided in depth historical information. We also like to hear the dark stories of an area as well as specific cultural foods, drinks and practices of the area. I think that the tour could be enhanced with some of that. However, this is the first time that a guru has ever sung to the group. Cecilia’s fado songs were the best part of the tour. They were very moving and meaningful and was a great way to tell a story. Cecilia’s background as an actress was evident in the smooth presentation. Thanks Cecília for a nice tour.

Cecilia was great very entertaining. She has a wonderful singing voice as well as knowledgeable and engaging. highly recommended.

Good tour with a good guide

I really enjoyed touring with Luis! It was more like meeting up with a friend who additionally showed us around, he didn't care about the rainy weather, he wanted to show us as much as possible :) He's really good at telling stories too!

Amazing tour by Jaime. Very insightful. He is a good representation of the Portugal spirit. The poem reading at the end of the tour was really great way to end the tour - my partner and I would say it definitely put us in a saudade mood. Thank you! I highly recommend taking a tour from Jaime.

The tour was very informative and a little surprising how frank and honest the guide was about the Portuguese heroes. Kudos to her for keeping it real. Definitely recommend to anyone who's interested in the maritime and colonial history.
