We decided to show our city in a completely new way! Our tours are based on funny stories and anecdotes to make you learn and enjoy at the same time. Let us amuse you with our passion !

About the tour

Overwhelmed by all the things to see and know about Florence? Don’t you know where to start? Join our free tour! We’ve prepared a visit that can be easy followed by everybody, no matter the previous knowledge you have about the city. Either if it’s your first time in the town or you’re an expert, this tour is perfect for you!

How can it be? Well, our visit is an introduction, so we’ll show you the main HIGHLIGHTS of the city, but we’ve included some hidden gems and rare anecdotes that will make you travel into the past, and feel that you’re living one of the most important and revolutionary periods of all times: the RENAISSANCE, and the intrigues of one of the most powerful and influent families of history: the MEDICI. All in a relaxing, funny and easy-going way. We’ll also give you all the tips (what to visit, to taste ...) you need to take the most of the city and ENJOY it to the fullest!

“Ok ok, that seems very cool... but who are you??”

If you’re wondering this, it means that you’re so curious... and we love it! We’re a group of local friends and also official tour guides of Florence, although we’d rather introduce ourselves as STORYTELLERS! That’s why we chose “Tour-TALE” as our name. We love telling stories and make you fly throughout the history as it was a tale. We love traveling too and we’ve also been tourists, so we try to give you the kind of visit we’d like to find: clear and with a good balance between information, curiosities and funny anecdotes. With no stress, just chilling out and enjoying your holidays, while learning curiosities that you can explain when you go back home!

Our aim is that you to finish our tour with a smile and give you the best memory possible of your trip. Are you ready?

As the brain starts getting tired after a while (if you don’t, then we admire you so much), we’ve set the length of this tour in 2 hours. That’s enough to cover the main attractions of this city.

Tour’s route:

San Lorenzo square

Medici Palace

Baptistery and Duomo

Piazza Repubblica

Orsanmichele Church

Piazza Signoria

Palazzo Vecchio

Loggia dei Lanzi

Uffizi Gallery and Vasarian Corridor

To guarantee the quality of our visit, we try to keep small groups. Book before we reach the maximum, it’s free! :D

Every time I go to a new city the first thing I do is the walking tour, that way I can have an overview of the city and then come back to the places I liked the most already Knowing the history behind it. My guide was very nice however the information given was “messy”, ended up being confusing, boring and not what it was supposed to... “a tale” .

Response from Florence Free Tour-Tale:

Hi Veronica. We’ve talked with our guide to understand what happened, because we prepared a visit in a way that everybody can easily follow and enjoy, no matter the previous knowledge they have. Our guide has said that you were leaving the group from time to time to take pictures with your friend and then you joined again, losing key parts of the explanation. In this case, it’s logical that you got lost with the contents and at a certain point you found difficulties in following it, but this isn’t our guide’s fault, and we find very unfair that you give us two stars because of that. There were other people in the group and the guide couldn’t stop his explanation and make them wait for you, that wouldn’t have been kind and fair with the others. On the other hand, we can be sure that his visit kept the quality that always has because we also had other reviews talking about that day, and all of them were positive. We always try to learn from our mistakes, but it’s impossible to learn from your review, as it doesn’t reflect the way the tour really is because you missed some parts.

Great tour! We joined the tour today and it was really interesting to hear so many stories and facts about Firence. Gabriel showed us various spots in this wonderful town and knew the proper anecdotes to tell to make the tour entertaining. Due to Corona the tour was almost a private event (he wore a mask during the tour) and that probably made it more efficient than other tours with bigger groups. Maybe it’s the perfect time to book such tours?

Response from Florence Free Tour-Tale:

Wow! Thank you Harald for your words :), we appreciate it! We will keep doing our best in our walking tours
