I am passionate about discovering history, in the same place that happened. For that I travel Buenos Aires, observe, read and study old photos. And then I prepare a guided tour! I studied theater 4 years with Carolina Adamovsky, I did a 4 month course "Guided Visit: conceptual framework, planning and guidance techniques" by Roberto García Coni (Centro Cultural Rojas, 2018) and another 4 month course "Barrios de Buenos Aires" dictated also by Roberto García Coni (2018). Argentine history is exciting, and I would love to share it with others!! Welcome to BA!
At least 6 inscriptions are required for the tour. -------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------- We will meet at Plaza Italia (metro station D) in the heart of the Palermo district. This is where the tour begins, during which we will discover the living history of Argentina! - We will learn from the two foundations of Buenos Aires and know the history of each and how the first years of this city were. - We will visit the Palermo neighbourhood and discover its origins as an area of orchards and fruit trees 300 years ago. - We will wander through the lands of Juan Manuel de Rosas, who was governor of the province of Buenos Aires and who became the most important Argentine caudillo between 1835 and 1852. - We will discover the famous Rosedal and learn its history! - We will visit the Argentine Racecourse, which was founded in 1876 and was the most popular sport among Argentines at the beginning of the 20th century. - We will discover the history of tango, its philosophy, how to dance it and what rules to follow when attending a milonga. - We will learn what "mate" is, the national drink of the Argentines. I love the idea of showing the story in the place where it happened and that happens in this guided tour. Welcome to Buenos Aires!
At the Giuseppe Garibaldi monument in Plaza Italia (near the Plaza Italia metro station) in Palermo.
Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
