Nice to meet you. I'm Kent, and I've wanted to live in Japan since I was a child. I am a journalist by trade, and have now been living here in Tokyo and loving it for over half a decade. My favorite areas are Akihabara and Nakano. These are geek havens. Cultural centers of animation, games, electronics, maid cafes and more. I have a wide knowledge of these topics, and I personally have a huge passion for 80s/90s anime! I love to share my passion for these areas with you! I'll show you all the best spots for gaming, shopping, maid cafes and more on this tour of the most exciting place in Tokyo: Akihabara!

As a veteran for over half a decade, I can help you put your time to best use. Whether you have specific interests in mind (games, manga, anime, cosplay, etc) or would just like the general tour, I would love to show you around!

- The origins of Akihabara, "Electric Town"! Get a look at the remnants of old Akihabara in alleyway shops selling everything from LEDs to microchips. I'll tell you how Akihabara grew from a small market to an international desination.

- The biggest arcades not just in Japan, but in the WORLD! We'll wind through a couple of the most famous arcades, where most of the worlds arcade games make their debut!

- The world's BEST shops for games, both new and retro, comics, and merchandise from every media franchise you can imagine!

- Unique culture! Girls lining the streets in maid costumes, cafes where you can have a drink with a real-live owl, and you might get to see what a 'painful car' is!
