About the Tour

It is said that all roads lead to Rome ... and from Rome you cannot leave without knowing its most authentic neighborhood, the Trastevere, a town within the Eternal City.

Trastevere is strolling through its sampietrini streets with clothes hanging on the balconies, getting to know its most emblematic corners and its many legends, admiring its medieval churches, browsing through handicraft and antique shops, trying Roman cuisine in one of its many restaurants and trattorie, enjoy a delicious ice cream ... And also meet its inhabitants, proud Romans from seven generations, and all those who in the past were Trasteverinos, such as Cleopatra, Alberto Sordi or Rafael Alberti.

The free walking tour «Trastevere, the artists' bohemian neighborhood» includes a guided tour of the following places:

Tiberina Island

Piazza in Piscinula

Basilica of Santa Cecilia in Trastevere

San Francesco church in Ripa

Piazza San Cosimato (and its market)

Santa Maria Church in Trastevere

Santa María della Scala Church

Via Garibaldi

Piazza Trilussa
