I had a fantastic experience on the walking tour in San José, Costa Rica with Jules as our guide. He was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate about sharing the history and culture of the city. Jules brought the streets of San José to life with fascinating stories, local insights, and great recommendations for food and places to visit. The tour was the perfect mix of history, culture, and fun, and he made everyone in the group feel welcome and involved. You can tell he truly enjoys what he does and takes pride in showing visitors the real San José beyond the typical tourist spots. It was a great way to start exploring the capital and learn more about Costa Rica’s culture and history. I highly recommend this tour, especially if you have the chance to do it with Jules!

Pablo was a great guide. He communicated well before the tour and took account of my requests. He introduced us to locals along the way; he was very friendly and informative. The tour covered things like chocolate tasting, trying sweet empeñados, guanabana juice, information about stalls within the market and lots of local snippets of information about buildings and places of interest.

Julio's information was very interesting . I think he wanted to develop a love for San Jose and all of Costa Rica. He was successful.

One of the best walking tours we had. Jules really showed us different parts of the city and explained things about Costa Rican culture, traditions and food. And had a Picknick in the park prepared. Definitely recommend!

Good introduktion to areas outsider the common path

Jules is a great guide that enjoys sharing San Jose and the culture of Costa Rica. He goes the extra mile making sure everyone is comfortable and engaged.

Jules provided an in-depth overview and historical account of Costa Rica and mostly San Jose. He has a well organized routine that provided snack breaks and amazing highlights of the city. We enjoyed the tour and education he calls “Fun Facts”. Definitely recommend his tour. 👍

Excellent introduction to San Jose, Costa Rica! Jules made us feel like we were walking with a local friend abd he was prepared with lots of food for picnic and bought us fresh fruit juice in local grocery stores! The pace was perfect, and he always made sure we were in the shade while explaining the significance of the buildings. I really appreciated the insider tips on where to go next. Don't forget to wear comfortable shoes and tip your guru—they truly earn it!

Great San Jose tour. Our guide was quite good with giving us many facts and interesting information on San Jose. He was very knowledgeable and explained in detail the history of San Jose. Loved his presentation and kept the tour interesting!

Jules spoke excellent English and explained to us a lot about Costa Rican culture and facts. He loved trivia to engage us which was fun. The 3.5 hours passed in no time. We even had a small picknick in a park. That never had happened on a Guru walk. We appreciated also that the tour was small. We were only 7.

Jules made an extraordinary tour for us. He introduced us to the culture and let us in on all the good things to know about.

Our Guide Ama was very passionate about his hometown and made the tour in our small group of 7 very enjoyable.

David war ein fantastischer Tour guide. Er hat die Tour sehr unterhaltsam gestaltet, spricht super Englisch und ist sehr spontan auf Fragen eingegangen. Es gab sehr viele Informationen über die Kultur und Geschichte Costa Ricas, ohne dass es langweilig war. Wir haben schon ca 15 Guruwalks gemacht, aber David war bisher der beste Guide.
