Tour description

Free Tour "Times of Power" in Vitoria-Gasteiz

🔹 History, secrets, and curiosities in a unique tour 🔹

Is this your first time in Vitoria? Or do you think you've already seen it? This tour will help you see it through a whole new lens.

Discover the power that has shaped the city's history .
We'll stroll among imposing palaces, temples, and buildings that have been the epicenter of political, economic, and religious power throughout the centuries. Here, there were no fratricidal struggles like those portrayed in some famous TV series, but I'll tell you about the burulleros ( a kind of "burulleros") who worked in the city, the "bloody" machete in Machete Square, why Ken Follett has a statue in the Old Cathedral, and the curious "hole" in the middle of Álava.

⚡ In addition, we will explore one of the most majestic areas of Vitoria, where the Ajuria Enea Palace stands, current residence of the Lehendakari and symbol of democratic power.

Some stops along the route:

📍 Casco Viejo (Ancient Power):
▪ Plaza de la Virgen Blanca (Meeting point)
▪ Burullería Square
▪ Old Cathedral
▪ Escoriaza-Esquivel Palace
▪ Montehermoso Palace
▪ Casa del Cordón (with its enigmatic small door)
▪ Machete Square
▪ Church of San Miguel

📍 Ensanche (Current Power):
▪ City Council
▪ Provincial Council
▪ New Cathedral
▪ Ajuria Enea Palace

If you want to learn about the city's history, surprising anecdotes, and a pleasant walk through Vitoria's most powerful corners... "power" awaits you!

👉 Reserve your spot now and experience the city like never before!
