Essential Free walking tours of Budapest

David was everything that I would expect from a guide. Just the right balance between information and allowing you to savour the places visiting and surroundings. He was sufficiently knowledgeable about topics and subjects he covered and was very good providing additional information when asked. Overall no hesitation in recommending him for a nice gentle intro to Budapest.

Great tour, perfect mixture of entertainment and information. Istvan was very engaging with the group, asking questions and giving a little sweet prize for correct answers. He even had sunscreen available when it was too sunny and we stood on the sun which I found amazing! We liked the tour very much and would definitely recommend it to everyone!

This was one of the best walking tours I have taken. Istvan was very knowledgeable, kept the tour very entertaining, gave little local chocolate treats along the way. This is not your usual city history tour but a lot of fun! Even our 14 year old was engaged! 100% recommend! Thank you Istvan!

Robert’s tour was informational/ educational delivered with humor, great stories, including personal family stories & pop quizzes with prizes. This made this tour educational, fun & entertaining. I highly recommend a tour with Robert - He is awesome!!

Very informative. Encouraged lots of questions. Lots of interaction and prizes given for correct answers. Paced the walk according to the needs of the group members. Very good mixture of historical facts without getting political. Thoroughly enjoyable and would definitely recommend.

Robert has a great personality, and shared a mix of fun stories, history and politics. He kept a nice pace, worked the group so that we all got some 1:1 time and suggestions, and he is part Canadian, which he has in common with my husband. He was great!

The tour was very good to get to know the city and main attractions. We had Zoltan as a guide and he was entertaining, well informed and professional. I would recommend his tour 100% to get around this beautiful city.

I can’t emphasize enough what a great tour Istvan provides! He’s very personable and engaging with everyone, while delivering really interesting and informative historical details about Hungary’s past. And I love that he’s still an independent professional tour guide - he can share more controversial perspectives on some of the local monuments, but he still does it in an objective, open way that is historically accurate. You will not be disappointed taking one of Istvan’s tours!!

Great tour! Fun, informative and covered a lot of the city, history, culture and important sights. Our tour guide wss knowledgable, personable and lovely. Difficult historical events presented sympathetically.
