About the Tour

Gijón are stories , stories of the people who made it grow, from the cigarette stores in the Plaza del Lavaderu, to that businessman of Basque origin who wanted to build a theater with his name.

We will stroll through its streets , which still retain the popular air, or we will slowly contemplate the nineteenth-century buildings, witnesses of the industrial evolution of the fishing village in the city that it is today.

We from Gijón like to put names to all those places that are ours. I will tell you the popular names and their meanings.

During the 2 and a half hours that we will be together you will discover that Gijón or Xixón is full of charming corners.

Taking as a starting point the Plaza de la Iglesia de San Pedro (on the beach) we propose a quiet walk through the historic center of the Cimadevilla neighborhood, origin of the city and birthplace of Jovellanos ... and a short walk through the streets from the most commercial center to contemplate the nineteenth and early twentieth century Gijón with its modernist or Art-Déco architecture.

In short, everything that has given it its current character.

Think no more,

WE ARE WAITING!
