Community tourism ideal for practicing your Spanish, although the tour is promoted in English it will be basic. Ideal for that visitor who wants to leave very touristy places, see daily life, interact with the Mayan culture, learn about ancestral textiles, enjoy the wonderful views of volcanoes and towns such as: San Antonio Aguascalientes and Ciudad Vieja, the former capital of Guatemala founded by Jorge de Alvarado in 1527.
We will take a public bus known as Chicken Bus and we will go to San Antonio Aguascalientes we will visit:
Carolina exhibition and presentation of the regional costumes of Guatemala.
Plaza and Church of San Antonio.
San Antonio craft workshop and school.
We take the bus again and head to Ciudad Vieja, we will visit:
The central square.
1st Cathedral of Guatemala.
Remains of the Palace of the Conquerors.
A small, traditional open-air market.
Finishing the central market of Antigua.
This tour has a minimum of 4 attendees, if you do not meet the minimum it will be canceled or you will be notified that it has a minimum cost.
What to wear?
Shoes suitable for walking.
Some cash to buy some souvenirs from the craft centers.
Or debit or credit card.
Sunscreen.
Conditions and terms:
Because it is a tour that involves taking public buses and high mobility, we request:
1. Children under 12 years old are not allowed.
2. Pets are not allowed since you will not be able to take them on the buses.
3. The tour can be bilingual.
4. The tour is published in English, but this language will be basic since our Gurus are from the same community "let's not expect perfect English"
5. Each participant is asked to respect the communities with respect to photographs and religious expressions.
6. The public bus costs $4 dollars or Q25.00 per person and bring small denomination bills or coins.
7. All free tours do not have a fixed price, they are based on recognition of the Guru according to the walker's experience, usually ranging between $10 to $50. In the end you decide.
8. The use of Drugs and Alcohol is not allowed during the tour.
9. We require a minimum of 4 passengers to carry out the activity. If you do not arrive, you will be contacted.
10. If you plan not to attend for different reasons, please cancel your reservation.
11. If we do not have your reconfirmation one hour before the event, the guide will not attend.

Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
