Free Night Tour in Cádiz
Tour description
Cádiz at night takes on a special color when its streetlights begin to illuminate the streets. At 6:30 p.m., we will meet in the Plaza de San Juan de Dios at the door of the town hall to begin the free night tour through the historic center of Cádiz. As the sky darkens, we will get closer to the El Pópulo neighborhood, one of the oldest in the city. We will walk contemplating its illuminated buildings until we reach the Cathedral of Cádiz. Did you know that it took more than a century to build? The French invasion and an economic crisis caused this delay. After contemplating the exteriors of the cathedral, we will see the church of Santa Cruz, the temple with the most history in Cádiz. Also known as the Old Cathedral, the building is believed to have been built on the remains of an old mosque. We will tell you all the details! While we walk along the promenade we will see the typical houses of Cádiz, houses that inspired the construction of the first neighborhoods of Cuba. We will get to the Gran Teatro Falla, which will attract your attention for its beautiful lighting and its curious neo-Mudejar architectural style. After an hour and a half of travel, we will finish the free tour near the beach of La Caleta, where you will have incredible views of the sea.
