Our guide Echo used her local knowledge as a Beijinger to explain the real logic behind China's imperial palace, transforming it from a beautiful collection of buildings into a living system of power and architecture. We started at a hidden gem imperial hall outside the main grounds where we got to stand inside and appreciate the scale and traditional craftsmanship up close. Once inside the Forbidden City, the experience was incredibly engaging. She used historical photos, building materials and visual reconstructions to show us exactly how the emperors lived and ruled. I walked away with a genuine understanding of how this enormous complex was built and used. This was easily the highlight of our trip!

Amazing tour! The guide Echo took care of everything. She explained us a summary of the history and a lot of interesting things around the tour. She mixed a bit of history, a help us with pictures, showed us the important places and also explained us the details of the Forbidden city. We highly recommend to do this tour

We had an amazing experience on this tour! Our guide was incredibly kind, helpful, and passionate. She even spent 30 minutes helping us park and lock our bikes at the beginning. She knows so much about the history of the Forbidden City and pointed out so many interesting details that we would have missed. She was also very flexible, helped us avoid the heat, and gave us breaks whenever we needed. You can really feel her passion and love for history. Highly recommend this tour!
