Tour description
Do you want to know what was the fashionable neighborhood of the old aristocracy and fiorentina ?
This tour will take you to discover Oltrarno, a neighborhood full of the most traditional atmosphere in Tuscany.
The meeting point will be Piazza di Santa Trinita. The Ponte della Trinita will be the first stop, where we will see the tradition of wars and dark secrets that the city hides.
In this pleasant walk we will visit one of the most curious squares in Florence : Piazza del Carmine, one of the most medieval squares in the entire city and crowned by the church of Santa María del Carmine
You cannot miss the stop at Santo Spirito , the main square of Oltrarno where Florentines have gathered for dozens of years. We will see one of the last works of Brunelleschi and we will comment on the history of the crucifix by Michelangelo.
After these architectural and religious stops, it is time to see the Palazzo de Bianca Capello , a palace that hides passion, heartbreak and a tragic film ending ...
After finishing observing the beauty of Palazzo Bianca Capello , we will go on to see the beauty of the most famous painting in the world, La Gioconda or Mona Lisa , in the home where the model for Da Vinci's culminating pictorial work was born.
We will continue our tour until we meet the monumental Palazzo Pitti , the largest private residence in all of Florence, through which personalities such as the Medici family, Napoleon Bonaparte and the kings of Italy passed. We will explain the Boboli Gardens , the best and most beautiful gardens in Italy, comparable to the gardens of the Palace of Versailles.
We cannot finish the visit without passing through the Ponte alle Grazie , the bridge that has changed the most in the history of Florence due to its constant demolition and bombardment. On this bridge we will comment on the story of Clet Abraham , the most important street artist working in Florence.
We will finish the visit in the Plaza de Santa Croce , home to one of the most beautiful churches in the city. The statue of Dante will bid us farewell to the guides and the group, hoping that the visit has been to everyone's liking.
We are waiting for you in Florence!
