Dive into the most authentic Mexican lifestyle exploring a famously cultured, bohemian, yet high-end neighborhood, La Roma.
Still very close to the vibrant old town of Mexico City, but far enough to boast its own charms, La Roma awaits with colorful buildings of Art Deco, Gothic, and Art Nouveau architecture.
Your expert local guide will take you from Rio de Janeiro Square, to the Holy Family Church, and show you around must-see attractions such as the Lindbergh Forum and the UNAM Library. You will also hear about the shaman that used to live in the mysterious 'House of the Witches', and discover the quirky Museum of the Object. Finally, you will have the opportunity to taste the best local foods and ingredients in the vintage La Roma Market.
Join the Free La Roma Tour in Mexico City to discover the best corners of this untouched neighborhood alongside a local guide. Find boutiques, cafes, book stores, art galleries, parks, and more in just 2 hours!
*Travelers staying at Condesa, Doctores or La Roma are close enough to reach the meeting point on foot. Travelers coming from the Historic Center or other neighborhoods may consider using a private taxi, or buying a transportation card at a metro station to ride the public "Metrobus." Keep in mind that some metro lines in the city are currently closed, so planning ahead is recommended. In general, travelers are advised to estimate that it will take between 30 and 40 minutes to reach the meeting point.
Outside "Hotel Puebla", on the corner of Morelia street with Puebla street, on the opposite corner of the 7-eleven in front of a gas station. Your guide will carry a blue sign that says SUPER.
Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
