Holy Week in Vélez-Málaga , declared a festival of national tourist interest in Andalusia, is made up of 19 brotherhoods, which take to the streets a total of 28 processional thrones , carried in some cases by up to almost 200 hairpin holders, images of great beauty plastic and enormous artistic value.
In order to show you in more detail the most interesting places of these brotherhoods , we will carry out a tourist and cultural tour to learn about the preparations of the different brotherhoods that that same day will carry out a penance station through the streets of Vélez-Málaga.
We will visit sheds, brotherhood houses and temples, we will explain the history of the images that have the most devotion in the city, we will get under the processional thrones and we will admire every detail of the carvings, embroidery or paintings that in the processional route and with the multitude of people, they can go unnoticed.
At the end of the tour we will have a small tasting of "ajobacalao", a typical product of Vélez-Málaga in these Lent dates.
