On this free tour you will get to know the surroundings of one of the most fascinating buildings in León: the Royal Collegiate Church of San Isidoro.
We will meet in the Plaza de San Isidoro, where we will learn about the origins of the building and the relationship it has with the exciting Kingdom of León.
We will get to know first-hand the curious legend linked to one of the most peculiar customs of León: "Las Cabezadas".
We will talk about the architecture of the monument (one of the best examples of Romanesque at the national level). In addition, we will also visit the castle of León, one of the most unknown buildings in the city, and the wall of Roman origin.
And we will leave the interior of the church and its two interesting portals for last: that of the Lamb and that of Forgiveness.
After the tour, and whenever it is open, you can visit the San Isidoro Museum, which houses the Royal Pantheon and its famous Romanesque paintings.

- If you would like to take a guided tour inside the San Isidoro Museum, this is also possible, since the museum has its own guides. You can ask our guide for more information about it.
- Reservations of more than 6 people will not be accepted, since for that we also have a private guide service (the guide would only be with you and your group). If this is your case, contact me so that I can send you an adjusted budget and guide availability.

- Our guide will start the visit PUNCTUALLY, so please be at the starting point a few minutes before to be able to locate the guide. In case you arrive in a hurry, we ask you to notify the guide so that he can take it into account.
The meeting point is the Plaza de San Isidoro. The guide will wear a BLUE JACKET/T-SHIRT with the words GUIDED VISIT on the back and the GANDA TURISMO logo on the front.
Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
