Luna is a wonderful guide. Her English is flawless, and she shared stories of Beijing's hutongs with so much patience and humor. The absolute highlights of the tour were the calligraphy class and local snacks — definitely hidden gems you wouldn’t find just by visiting the main scenic spots. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Beijing. It really sparked my curiosity about this country!

Great tour great guide. Very knowledgeable and kept in touch all the time. Tour was appropriate length and got to try donkey meat. However would have liked more obscure stops and shops that were open not closing. And able to try the tea samples before buying

It was the perfect, stress-free start to our first day trip to get a comprehensive look at Beijing. The tour ends in a great spot for dinner. We went to a Peking duck restaurant that Miriam recommended - it was yummy!!! We highly recommend it!!!

One of the best free walking tours I have done! Beijing has so much to offer and this tour perfectly covers an introduction to everything, with great stories and insights into local life. We walked through a very peaceful hutong neighborhood, played local games, tried delicious Chinese pancakes, and wrote our calligraphy artwork (loved it!!). You can genuinely tell this company (Free Tours China) is trying their best to design a nice itinerary and deliver a great experience with warm hospitality. Well-spent 3 hours, perfect duration and content. Highly recommended to everyone!

We took this free Beijing tour on our first day in Beijing, and it was simply amazing! She took us to some authentic local spots in the hutongs that I would never have found as a tourist. A surprising highlight was the calligraphy workshop — we got to not only watch demonstrations but also write our own Chinese characters. It was so fun and special! We also tried some delicious local food and received some incredibly useful food and sightseeing recommendations. If you’re visiting Beijing, trust me, you cannot miss this tour!
