I really enjoyed the tour with Roy. He made sure to mix information with humor so it never felt hard to listen. Apart from the sites he made sure to include other interesting facts about China and Chinese culture, so I really feel I learned a lot in just 2 hours.

Roy speaks really great English and was very clear in his explanations and good with telling stories. You can tell that he is passionate about his work, sharing the history and fun facts, even compiling a list of good food, shopping, massage places, etc. We tried the dumpling restaurant which he recommended and it was truly the best dumplings we’ve had in our whole trip (we have also tried dumplings from other restaurants with great recommendations on Da Zhong Dian Ping, but this is still the best)

Thanks to Roy we got an amazing introduction to Chinese culture and the Hutongs. It was a very authentic area with no other tourists and Roy was so passionate and lovely. He was very informative, funny, and patient with answering all our questions. He also gave us lots of recommnendations for our time in Beijing. Yan was a brilliant guide. She brought to many place I was confident to explore afterwards on my own. I loved the calligraphy lesson and the ladies there were so thoughful! It was a great morning and Yan is enthusiastic and engaging.
