In this Free night tour, we will discover the best kept secrets of Buda, the oldest area, and we will enjoy its viewpoints at dusk.
ROUTE: We will meet at Clark Adam tér , at the foot of the Funicular (Sculpture of KM 0) to start our tour.
The lions of the chain bridge will welcome you to the medieval city of Buda , a fortress on the hill that we will access through the neo-renaissance gardens of the Palace, Várkert Bazar . Its beauty will surprise you.
Next to those gardens we will see the famous Café Félix , where the great architect of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, Miklos Ybl , lived during the construction of the Várkert Bazar.
We will visit the medieval fortification of Rondella, and from there we will access the Buda Castle grounds, from where you will enjoy a wonderful sunset. There we will tell you about the legendary origins of Hungary, and its evolution until the Middle Ages.
We will stop at the Sándor Palace , residence of the president of the republic, and we will enter the historic center of the medieval city of Buda, to surprise you with the history of the famous Labyrinth and the House of the Magician Houdini . Why didn't you know he was Hungarian?
Those with a sweet tooth, you're in luck, because we'll go to the picturesque Ruszwurm Pastry Shop , the oldest in the city, and they say it's the favorite of Empress Sissi.
To end the tour, we will go to the Matthias Church and the famous Fishermen's Bastion, two emblematic buildings steeped in history, where we will put an end to this tour, with the best night views of the city.
Enjoying the Parliament illuminated at night, from this viewpoint , is one of the most iconic images of Budapest . Take out the camera, and enjoy!
